“Prayer Room” is a hand-built ceramic sculpture created in black reduced ceramic, standing 58 cm high. Shaped like a miniature architectural sanctuary, it is crowned with a gemstone-inlaid cross and features delicately perforated walls that allow light to pass through like stars or breath. The spiraling side columns reference sacred geometry and ancient temple forms.

This piece functions both as a ritual object and a contemporary art sculpture. Designed to house a candle or meaningful item, it evokes a quiet reverence and the presence of inner space. As with all works by Aiga Datava, it carries the artist’s encoded visual language — a poetic fusion of form, symbol, and spiritual archetype.
