Marina Yepes

Marina Yepes

Explores the depths of the unconscious, allowing emotions to flow freely and be captured in her work.

STATEMENT

The Spanish artist Marina Yepes uses abstract expression primarily through painting to unleash the creative potential of her unconscious. Each piece is an attempt to decipher the symbolic language of her dreams, emotions and thoughts, creating a space where art becomes a means to explore and understand the depths of her being.

These material works integrate symbols and motifs that invite the viewer to interpret and connect with their own psyche. Abstraction and texture become tools for introspection, allowing the art to act as a mirror of the mind and soul.

The vibrant compositions evoke a yearning to decipher the unknown, capturing the essence of emotional transformation in each stroke, texture and colour.

Interested in the relationship between the indivi- dual and their inner landscape, each work becomes a visual testament to how emotions and thoughts manifest themselves encoded in art. During the creative process, she immerses herself in an introspective journey guided by high frequency sound music. This heightened vibration allows him to enter a deep meditative state, where unconscious emotions and thoughts find expression through matter, form and colour.
