Cesar Barroso studied photography at the Brazilian Association of Photographic Art in Rio de Janeiro and has spent many years creating and sharing his art in different parts of the world.
His famous exhibition “Photosynthesis – Botanicals in Black & White” began in Rio de Janeiro and later traveled to Rome and Miami. This collection focuses on the beauty of plants, showing his ability to capture nature in simple but striking black-and-white images. Cesar also enjoys photographing old and modern buildings, as well as people, bringing out their unique qualities through his lens.
Cesar was a member of the Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami, Florida, for many years, where he participated in numerous exhibitions and events. Some of his notable solo exhibitions include “Children’s Halloween in Liberty City” and “Italian Baroque Comes to Miami.” His work has been featured in museum collections, such as the Coral Springs Museum of Art, and in group exhibitions in Miami and beyond.
He has also written books, such as “South Beach on Foot,” which offers an easy guide to exploring the famous Miami neighborhood, and “Quatorze Dias em Portugal,” sharing his experiences in Portugal.
After taking a break from photography, Cesar now lives in the Algarve, Portugal, where he is reconnecting with his passion for capturing nature, architecture, and life in his new surroundings. With a rich career and a love for blending the beauty of the natural and human-made worlds, Cesar continues to create powerful and meaningful images.
